Sarah Porder is one of the founders of The City Tutors. Her previous work as a Teaching Assistant at the City College of New York for two semesters and a Regents Reading and Writing Workshop Facilitator at Manhattan International High School provided her with the necessary tools to supply academic support to students who needed it the most.
Sarah has a love for football, and is now the Director of Operations for the Division I football program at The University of Dayton.
Paul Kang is one of the founders of The City Tutors. He previously worked with The Latino Youth for Higher Education Program (LYHEP), a non-profit designed to provide underprivileged immigrant high school students, particularly Latinos, with college readiness and academic support through guidance, workshops, and tutoring. Paul transferred his experience working as the City College’s Chapter President and Liaison for LYHEP into his position as Director of Internal Communications at The City Tutors.

Jorge Yau is one of the founders of The City Tutors. He graduated with a Computer Science degree from City College of New York. He aspires to become a full-stack web developer with a dual proficiency in programming and user experience design. Jorge is also greatly passionate about Computer Science, and enjoys researching and understanding its vast fields including computer vision, computer graphics, image processing, computational complexity and algorithm design. When given the opportunity, Jorge enjoys helping others to discover the power and creativity of Computer Science. Also, he'll probably tell you to switch to Linux—so watch out. Jorge is now a web developer for Newslea, and remains a CT advisor to the IT unit.

Celine Cammarata is a 2012 graduate of the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College with a BE in Behavioral Neuroscience. Celine’s interests span life science, academic administration, and public policy, and she has worked in neuroscience research at New York University and Johns Hopkins as well as in the Office of the Provost at Hunter College. Celine was a Study Group Workshop Supervisor and Natural Science Curriculum Developer with The City Tutors, and is now a lab manager and researcher at Cornell University.

Gregg Stevens graduated in 2015 with a B.A./M.A. in Economics. Gregg’s interest in the academic tutoring field emerged while he was a SEEK PAL tutor at the university, where he used tutoring as a resource to help counterbalance the effect income disparity has on grades. Since then, he has developed a profound interest to increase student performance. He served as a Study Group Supervisor for The City Tutors, and is now an analyst for Standard Charter Bank.
